The duke’s daughter Aurora is dead; and yet, she lives. Join Aurora across the mysterious kingdom of Lemuria on her quest to return home. Helped by Igniculus the firefly, Finn the Capilli and many more, she must defeat the Queen of the Night who has stolen the sun, the moon and the stars.
Child of Light is a side-scrolling RPG that centres around Aurora, an Austrian princess who finds herself awakening in the world of Lemuria under unclear yet worrisome circumstances. The mood is set right away with a hand-drawn vista both lush and melancholy, descending into a dark forest below as Aurora sets off to return to her father but is naturally caught up in something even larger.
The atmosphere will change as new locations are found, ranging from sprawling plains filled with windmills to a stilted seaside village; all contain hand-drawn characters and enemies that move much like figures who have jumped off a page. Everything is a treat to explore, and the wanderlust is heightened when Aurora is granted the ability to fly early into the game. Expansive maps welcome this freedom, and the developers have placed paths and items everywhere to goad you into roaming every inch of their creation, as if the sheer beauty of it wasn’t enough.
Attention all competitors: This is your one minute warning. I repeat, one minute until race commencement. Members of the public: You now have one minute to reach minimum safe distance!
Almost 15 years after that first warning announcement sounding the beginning of Carmageddon, the Carmageddon racers are back in this revival of the violent, wild action franchise. And just for the record — the break hasn’t done anything to improve these driving maniacs’ road manners.
Call of Duty: Ghosts introduces players to a brand new game type called “Extinction”. In the vein of the well-known Zombies mode, Extinction lets up to four players compete in a round-based challenge and test their mettle against the oncoming swarming forces. Instead of zombies however, Extinction has you facing off against different types of aliens and destroying the hives that they have spread throughout various areas. There’s a lot more to it than it first seems and we’re here to show you the ins and outs of this new mode from beginning to end.
In Broforce, you play as ’80s and ’90s action heroes waging war against terror in almost entirely destructible nostalgic settings. While superficially a run ‘n gun shooter, Broforce’s reactive environment encourages tactical play. Each bro out of the many the game features has distinctive attacks and special abilities, and, aside from spraying terrorist blood across the landscape, mastering all these abilities is one of Broforce’s core pleasures.
In Broforce death is instant and often surprising, but this is balanced by the incompetence of the enemy. The explosions (which are numerous) often result in unpredictable chain reactions, but this shouldn’t discourage you from permanently holding down your trigger finger.

In the action/RPG Bound by Flame, you are a mercenary possessed by a flame demon in an ambitious Dark Fantasy universe. As a victim of this demonic influence, players will have to choose between the powers offered by this evil or rejection of the demonic influence in order to develop heroic talents instead. Dangers, and enemies becoming more terrifying and fearsome in battle, will be temptations to acquire more power by giving up part of the hero’s soul to the demon. Progression of the demonic influence will be reflected by the transformation of the hero’s body.
Through its different chapters, Bound by Flame offers many quests around a primary, epic adventure. Depending on the choices made by the player and the influence of the demon, some chapters will offer different scenarios and a different experience, adding important replayability to the game. If the player begins the game knowing only the basics of combat, fire magic, and assassination, he will be able to specialize by unlocking and improving many skills and powers, through three different skill trees.
Borderlands 2: Headhunter 5 – Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax is an Action game, developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, which was released in 2014.
To be a vault hunter means a life of tough, dirty, bloody work. Mostly bloody, but still, it’s a lot of exhausting labor for that precious loot. Naturally, after fighting through a full game and plenty of content packs filled to the brim with rambunctious bandits, enormous monsters, and ambitious, murder-happy villains, the vault hunters could do with a little vacation.
In the final Borderlands 2 Headhunter downloadable content pack, called Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax, we see our fatigued antiheroes taking a trip to beautiful Wam Bam Island, where they hope to kick their feet up, get some sun, and enjoy a fruity cocktail with Sir Hammerlock. But just as you start to feel relaxed, Hammerlock is snatched away by a neon-blue claw and dragged underground, leaving you to lock and load, and get back to work.
Blood of the Werewolf separates itself from many other platformers by offering two different ways to play its story. Selena is a lycanthrope of folklore, able to shape-shift into a massive werewolf when blessed by the moon’s power. She remains in human form so long as she has a roof overhead, using a crossbow to tackle mythical monsters as well as activate various switches and levers. In her more powerful werewolf form, Selena uses her teeth to tear enemies such as harpies to shreds, while benefitting from her enhanced agility to double jump across gaping chasms.
The abilities of each of her two forms are bolstered with special power-ups you collect along the way. Selena’s crossbow gets upgraded to shoot arrows that split, causing extra damage, or arrows ignited by fire, which work wonders against shuffling zombies. Powers she collects in her werewolf form include a rush attack and an ability to fire off charged energy, great for blasting foes from a distance. She may also howl at the moon to regain some health, a vital power that saved my wolf hide in many white-knuckled boss fights.
Can you make it through the 34 brutal monsters and countless controller throwing obstacles spread throughout 10 unique worlds and 5 awesome boss arenas? For the sake of Selena’s child, the last of the Wolf Clan, you must! You will journey through fifteen levels of white knuckle platforming, fighting the most classic of monsters like the Creature, Hyde, Dracula, Mummy, and Frankenstein, all in the name of vengeance. Blood of the Werewolf will transport you to that time long lost, when good guys wore red hats and bad guys were fat lizards with a thing for princesses.
You can get this games torrents. In this climatic sequel to the critically acclaimed Bayonetta action game, players will be on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Brimming with epic, gorgeous cut scenes and battles that are more exhilarating than ever, this game never lets up on the action. Fight on top of a jet as it soars through a downtown city. Duke it out against a giant angel, who bears a whip for an arm, on top of a speeding train. And take to the skies in a fight against a demonic monster while ascending to the top of a skyscraper.
Battle Princess of Arcadias wasn’t announced with much fanfare, but I sat up and took notice anyway. It immediately reminded me of games like Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire, and since I’m a huge Vanillaware fan, I knew I had to play it. I can’t say that Battle Princess can go toe to toe with Odin Sphere, but its bubbly mix of beat ‘em up, role-playing, and strategy kept me smiling the whole time I played it.
The first thing I noticed about Battle Princess is its bright and beautiful world, which sets it apart from the more common drab, post-apocalyptic look of so many other games about a world in need of a savior. It’s clear that developer Apollosoft took its art direction cues from Vanillaware (forests and mountains look like they’re copied directly from Odin Sphere), and Battle Princess does a good job capturing the vibrant color palette. Unfortunately, it also looks like an old Flash game, based on the at times flat and choppy quality of the animation. I was relieved to find that choppiness doesn’t affect the gameplay in any way, since much of Battle Princess’ fun lies in the fast-paced combat.
Three different combat modes are available: regular combat, skirmishes, and sieges. Combat is by far the easiest and most enjoyable mode for me – I loved cutting down enemies using the red-haired protagonist Plume and her Princess Corp. (a group of nine playable companions that accompany the battle princess wherever she goes). Well mapped-out and responsive controls make it smooth and easy to set up 100-hit combos of light, strong, and special attacks, which kept the action zipping along. I also like being able to quickly swap out characters in combat by tapping the R1 button, letting me take advantage of each character’s special weapon type (sword, spear, gun, etc.) and skill set, which proved to be useful against the myriad different enemies that appeared on the battlefield. Best of all, when things got hairy I could use built-up skill points to unleash a massive group attack that instantly destroyed everything in its path.
The origins of Batman are pretty well known by comic book fans these days – Bruce Wayne’s parents are killed, and he soon toughens up and becomes Gotham City’s avenger – but now you can play the legacy for yourself, as WB Games will release a new Initiation DLC pack for Batman: Arkham Origins starting today, right now you can download the games torrents.
In this new pack, you’ll be able to take on four new challenge maps – varying from bamboo forests to a remote monastery – as you play Bruce before he becomes the Bat. You’ll rely on his skills and techniques to get through each map, slowly but surely becoming the Dark Knight.
This DLC will also include a pair of exclusive skins, including Bruce Wayne’s Initiation suit and Vigilante Bruce Wayne. You can see it in action in the trailer below.
Batman: Arkham Origins is introducing us to a fresh prequel for the series where a young Dark Knight contends with a number of deadly assassins on Christmas Eve. If you’re a devoted fan of the series, you might want to consider the PlayStation 3 version of the game, as it comes with exclusive content highlighted in the trailer below.
Those who buy the game at retail or digitally through the PlayStation Network will receive two special skins – a Knightfall costume based on the short DC Comics Batman series, and a skin that resembles the same outfit Adam West wore for the campy 1960’s series.
In addition, the game will come with three new combat maps, as well as two Predator maps. These include “Azrael Does Not Protect,” “City On Fire,” “Venom Connection,” “Turning Point” and “No Rest For the Wicked.”
For a limited time, all games in the Batman Arkham series are available on PC in a bundle for $9.99. The latest entry in the series, Batman: Arkham Knight, is scheduled for release in July next year and it set a year after the events of Batman: Arkham City.
